Yup it has been a while since I posted here.  Well today is a good day to post since I am home sick.  You know I really hate being sick.  I woke up last night about 3am just coughing up a storm.  I coughed so hard I strained a muscle in my chest.  Pretty sad huh?

Oh well, it will be nice to sleep as much as I can today.  I don't get to do that very often.  Jessie and the family have left to go to band and the only one home with me is Elisha, and she is doing school, so this is the PERFECT time to sleep.  You ask then, why am I sitting here typing this post?  Well I was feeling guilty about not posting for so long.

Okay now the part most people care about, an update on how the moose are doing.  (in particular Jubilee).  Jubilee is doing very good.  She was having a problem pooping  with constipation for a few days, but that is cleared up now.   I won't tell you how it cleared up except for it involved some work from Mom and Dad.  For those worried it was safe and doctor approved, but messy.

Now on to the other moose.  Jessie is still pretty, so is Elisha.  The boys are handsome and only get into a little bit of trouble.  Hosanna is still cuddly, and Elizabeth is a ball of ENERGY.   We have installed child locks on almost all the low level cabinents because of her curiousity, and energy.  To be honest Elizabeth scares me.  I am praying she won't be the first to break a bone, especially not mine.  When ever I am praying for the family, the first thing I pray for when I get to Beth is safety.  I am glad the angels are heavenly beings, because if they weren't there would be several very tired angels watching over Elizabeth.

I think I have rambled enough.  I will ask though for those who may read this if you could say a quick prayer for me.  Being sick stinks.  Thanks a bunch and have a great rest of the week!

First I have to apologize for not posting in a long time.  Things have been busy since Jubilee's birth.  I am also working on some projects for extra money.  I will also be working on a site redesign.  No worries, I am not changing any functionality, just looks.  The blogs will be the same as far as content and all the other pages will function the same.  I am just going to make the site "pretty".

Anywho, I will try VERY hard to post more pictures of Jubilee this week and maybe even do Marches Moose~Album page.  Hang in there and please be patient with us.  I am sorry not be posting more often, I will try to post at least twice a week.

So far life is going pretty great.  Jubilee is doing AWESOME.  Momma is doing great, and the kids are all alive.  Also Elisha made a new post today on her blog.  You can check it out here.

Well I will post again, sooner than later.

As you can tell from the title, Jubilee Dawn was born!  She arrived last night at 9:02 PM.  Below are all the measurments.

Born: March 20th, 2008 at 9:02pm
Weight: 7 pounds 5 ounces
Length: 19 inches
Head Size: 14 inches
Appearence: Cute as can be!

I want to start out by saying I am so proud of Momma.  She, as always, did a great job.  The Lord has blessed her with good deliveries and this was yet another one.  She didn't scream, yell, or get upset at all.  I almost felt bad that she didn't get any good licks in on me, but that is how it usually is.  Also Elisha did a great job.  She was there for the birth.  This makes baby number two for her.  She helped out a lot.  She got chap stick, and water for Momma, and was in charge of keeping the music going.  She sure is an awesome young lady.

Nancy Spencer was our mid-wife again for Jubilee.  She was there for Hosanna, and Elizabeth's births too.  She does an awesome job.  She has been a mid-wife for almost 40 years.  2010 will be 40.  As always she was calm and helped make the delivery easy going.

I got to do the Daddy things, like catch the baby, cut the cord and dress her in her first outfit.  It didn't take long before Jubilee was filling my heart with Joy.  She is so light, and I could hold her forever.  Praise God for such wonderfully LARGE gifts that come in small packages.

Praise God, for He is wonderful, mighty, loving, caring and more than words can describe!  Thank you Lord for all your blessings.

Well here we go again.  Jessie is in Labor.  We are waiting for the mid-wife and eating graham crackers.  Well Elisha and I are.  I just took a picture of Momma's belly, which is a family tradition. (no, you won't be able to see that photo)

I don't have much else to say, but to stay tuned.  When I get pictures I will post here immediately.  Thanks for stopping by, and please pray that all will go well.

More pictures were added today for the month of May in 2005, the year we were living in New Jersey.  It is very neat to see pictures of Hosanna.  She looks so much like Elizabeth in many of the pictures.

The kids also enjoyed seeing the pictures.  They were laughing and giggling at them.  The kids have very fond memories of the good times they had with our church family in Robertsville Bible Church.

Speaking of kids, Jessie is due to have our 6th baby in April, but it is looking like it may be the latter part of March.  We are excited about the new arrival, but are feeling quite overwhelmed with all that needs to be done for preparation.  I know we have been through this a few times, but I think it is worse with each additional baby you have.  It seems like we don't have any time to get things ready, and when we think we will have the time, the time we have goes by too quickly.

So keep stopping by our website for more baby updates.  Hopefully we will be posting in March about the new baby.

Well I guess that is it.  I hope and pray you are all having a fine day as you read this post.  Talk to you again soon.

I put new pictures up.  I wanted to add some pictures of when we were in New Jersey.  That was a very trying point in our life, but we had great support.  The members of Robertsville Bible Church were wonderful.  We will never forget our church family in New Jersey.

The pictures I posted are from August 2005.  I will go through the pictures and find more for the other 5 months we were in New Jersey.  Stay tuned and there should be more to come.

For an update, we have new pictures up for December 2007, April 2007, May 2007, and January 2008.  Please feel free to have a look.  I still need to update them a little and add captions to them all.  The December 2007 pictures all have captions.

Also you may also notice I placed a link to my "Friends of SUA" page on the bottom right side of the home page.  Please stop by and check out SUA.  I am trying to raise 1000 dollars this year for them.  SUA is a great school and the staff do a wonderful job of reaching at risk youth in the inner city.  They help the kids get out of gangs and graduate high school.

I am pretty sure I will raise less than 100 dollars, but I felt like making the goal higher than what I thought I could raise, just for the challenge.  Also SUA struggles, so anything helps, even my small amount.

Well I didn't right this post to market funds.  I really just wanted to say "Hey check out the new pictures"  Oh and I hope Dan can see these pictures this time.

Because of Christ and his wonderful grace,

Today I started work on the Moose~Album, formally known as the Family~Album.  As you can see in the menu under Moose~Album, you will see the years and under each year there are months.  Each year menu links to a home page for that year, which explains how the year went, and what we Silva's were up to.

If you click on the month, you will get a picture album or gallery with that months pictures on it.  When you click on the picture it will open in a bigger window.  You can then move it or close it.  You can also open up as many of the pictures at a time for comparisons.

I hope and pray you will all like this format.  You will notice that you still have the ability to save the pictures to your computers for printing or anything else.  If you run into any issues please email me at dad@silvamoose.com.

Thanks,

MykkMoose (Dad)(Mike)

As you may have noticed, I have added the Family~Album tab to the menu.  The page will eventually be where you will be able to find pictures of us.  At the moment I have placed a test player for our short movies.  I decided to use YouTube at the moment for our videos.  I created a YouTube account, uploaded movies, and placed a YouTube Player on our website.  I like the way it handles videos.  It converted all of our .MOV files to flash so that most any browser can view them.

I had my worries about placing family video's on the web at YouTube, but after thinking about it for a while I came to the conclusion that since I don't post our address, and I am not typing in keywords; first not many people will even find our video's amoungst the million some other videos, and second, if they do find them, they won't care, or be able to figure out who we are or where we live.

With today's internet, honestly if someone wanted to find you, and or bug you, they could.  Having come to this reality a long time ago, I have decided to place some of our family videos in a public place so that I can have the functionality and ease of presenting those video's on our website.

Please feel free to look at the Family~Album page and view our short videos.  I am going to be making a page just for videos, but I haven't gotten there yet.

I hope you all enjoy!

Yesterday was a hectic day.  As you all know, Elisha's birthday was the 7th of February.  We decided to celebrate her birthday yesterday because the family for the most part was sick last week.  Elisha wanted to have a sleep over and invited two of her friends.  So on the way home from work, I stopped by Costco to pick up a cake and Papa Johns to pick up pizza.  I also was having the Missions Secretary over to help create the Missionaries Page for our churches website.  All in all it was going to make for a hectic afternoon.

Papa John's pizza was awesome as always, and the "Missionaries Page" is off to a good start.  It isn't finished, but will be in a week.  The Missions Secretary's next job is to round up pictures of our missionaries.  Our churches website isn't a big site, but I feel blessed to have had the chance to design it and help build it for our church.

Elisha had a blast, and enjoyed her first sleep over.  The two girls who came over were very well behaved and it wasn't a lot of work for Jessie.  Elisha is looking over my shoulder and she says the funnest part of last night was opening presents.  I am glad she had a good time.

I guess I don't have much more to say.  Oh except Elizabeth has a new word.  (ewwwww)  I put a lot of w's on the word because that is how she says it.  I will have to record her and put a video up on the website.  The funny thing is she even knows when to say it.  She is a cutie!
