Register  --

It looks like a long weekend is almost over.  Grace went to a retreat, and I had King’s Auction to work on.  I am very thankful the weekend is over, even though I may not be looking forward to working tomorrow.  It almost seems like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

Grace got back today from her retreat, and she is napping.  I think this weekend wore her out too.  She left Friday at around noon for her retreat.  I took the day off from work to watch the kids, but ended up doing about 3 hours of work from home.

Friday night we went to the bank and then to Alfy’s Pizza.  The pizza was great, and the kids love Alfy’s because of the video games there.  Then we came home and cleaned the house before playing about three hours of Wii.

I dropped the kids off early Saturday morning at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  Needless to say we didn’t get our morning chores done.  I had to be at work by 10am and that meant I had to have the kids ready to drop off at 9ish.

I just want to break away from the weekend narrative to just say, “Grandma and Grandpa Taylor are the best!”  The Taylor’s are a wonderful family and they love our children very much.  We are so blessed that God brought us to North Creek Baptist Church, where we met the Taylor’s.  The Taylor’s love our family just like we were flesh and blood.  It has gotten to the point where it doesn’t even seem like they aren’t family.  They’re family and that’s pretty much all there is to it.

The kids had a blast as always.  They had fun with Josh and Christa who are just like an uncle and aunt, and Elizabeth spent a lot of the weekend cuddling with Grandpa.

I worked at the Lynnwood Convention Center pretty much from 10am to midnight and got home around 1:30am.  King’s Auction went well and none of the computers broke down.  Praise God!

Elisha's Hair, done by Grandma and ChristaOn Sunday I went to church and the kids all looked great.  Grandma and Christa had done all the girls hair, and they did AWESOME on Elisha’s hair.  She looked very beautiful.  She is growing up so fast and is starting to look like a young lady.

The other cool thing was that the church was having a pot-luck lunch after church, so I didn’t have to try and figure out lunch for the kids.  I would have been okay either way though, because Grandma T invited us over to lunch before she realized it was pot-luck Sunday.

Last but not least, Momma (Grace) got home around 4pm and we are all glad she is back.  She said she had a great trip, and had a good time with Mrs. Schopf.  (the Pastor’s wife)

So there you have it.  That was our weekend.  I am still tired, but I am happy that the Lord took care of us through the entire weekend.  It will be nice though to get back to a some what normal life.

I am pretty excited today.  I just finished hooking up my new computer.  With income tax return, I ordered two computers from Dell, and yesterday mine came in.  One day earlier Momma’s PC came in the mail, and I got that all set up for her.

The bad thing about my computer coming in the mail yesterday was that I didn’t get a chance to set it up.  We have church on Wednesdays, and I couldn’t see skipping church just to set my computer up.  So long story short, my computer is up and running and I am happy.

I am typing this blog entry from my new install of Windows Live Writer!!

Well that’s about it.  Have a great weekend all.

I found out that hosanna was the best Wii Boxer in the house, and I got to see her in action a couple nights ago.  She was dancing and swinging, and it was very cute.  The bummer part was that I didn't have my camera at the house to video tape her.

Last night I remembered to bring my camera home and I video recorded my daughter playing Wii Boxing.  The object is to punch a punching bag until you know it off the hook.  You have so much time to knock as many bags off the hook as you can.  As far as I know, Hosanna still holds the record in our family.  See below to see just how she does it.

Hosanna, our Wii Boxing Champion!!

Today I got a small dose of reality.  Yes I am getting old.

This weekend we bought the Wii for our family.  We bought it because it is very family friendly and provides a little more action than the normal video game console.  We have had a blast playing the Wii and it has given us yet another thing to do together.  We already play cards and board games, and now we have something to add to those.

Okay now to the small dose of reality.  Two days ago I was playing Wii Baseball with the kids, and I was really putting all my effort into it.  I was hitting homeruns and everything!  The only problem is that today I noticed I was VERY sore from playing the Wii so vigorously.  Isn't that sad?  I am getting old, and out of shape.

Oh well, I still having a blast playing games with the kids.  Maybe I will just put some ice on my baseball injury and in a few days I will be back in the action!

I should have posted this a long time ago.  A couple weeks ago I found out that Grace is pregnant.

This will be our 7th child.  I am praying and hoping it is a boy, but either way he or she will be a blessing.  The children are all excited and all of them have hopes of their own.

  • Dad wants a boy
  • Mom just wants the baby to be healthy
  • Isaiah wants a boy
  • Gabe wants a boy
  • Elisha wants a boy
  • Hosanna wants a girl
  • I think Elizabeth wants a girl
  • Jubilee has no thoughts one way or another about it

In other news, Jubilee has bee struggling with a fever and could use a lot of prayer.  For the last week she has had on and off fever.  Other than the fever she seems to be fine.  She is happy and playful until she gets a fever for about a couple hours.  Then it goes away and she is good again.
