Register  --

I am typing this post from my desk at work while eating "Reeses Peanut Butter Cup" cereal.  Mmmm good!  I don't have a lot to say, but I did want to post about Gabriel.  I am very proud of him.  On Tuesday I came home and found out that the kids, (Elisha and Gabe) hadn't gotten their homework/schoolwork done.  I was pretty dissapointed at the children, and decided I would help out.  Well, I sat down and explained to them exactly what I wanted to see on their schoolwork.

The neat thing is that the last two days Gabriel has been doing his schoolwork exactly as I have asked him to.  He has been very excited about getting done now.  His attitude has been awesome and he told me yesterday that he was happy that he is now getting his homework done on time and the way he is supposed.  It is amazing to see that just a little guidance was needed and Gabe just took off.  He now has a clear idea of how to do things, and it all makes sense.  He works the best that way.  Gabriel is much happier when he knows the rules and exactly what is expected.

It is cool to see the differences between the children.  I love them all and am proud of them all, but I did want to mention Gabriel in a special way today because of how well he is doing.

I can't say it enough.  God has blessed me more than I could have ever imagined he would.  The blessings are also not what I would have expected to be blessings, in my youth, but the Lord knows best and I am so thankful that He loves us so much.

First I have to apologize for not posting in a long time.  Things have been busy since Jubilee's birth.  I am also working on some projects for extra money.  I will also be working on a site redesign.  No worries, I am not changing any functionality, just looks.  The blogs will be the same as far as content and all the other pages will function the same.  I am just going to make the site "pretty".

Anywho, I will try VERY hard to post more pictures of Jubilee this week and maybe even do Marches Moose~Album page.  Hang in there and please be patient with us.  I am sorry not be posting more often, I will try to post at least twice a week.

So far life is going pretty great.  Jubilee is doing AWESOME.  Momma is doing great, and the kids are all alive.  Also Elisha made a new post today on her blog.  You can check it out here.

Well I will post again, sooner than later.

Even though I like horses, I very much like Missionaries.  I am now the SilvaMoose Missionary Secretary.  It is my job to keep track of the missionary postcards for family prayers every night at the house.  Every night, Dad and the kids get together and pray for people we know.  Each person also picks a missionary card from me, and we pray for the missionary on the card.

We also got a new couch, and it was very hard to get in our house, but soon one of our neighbors came and helped us put it in the house.  I like the couch because it is big, and it has feet rests.  The couch is green and brown.

On Sunday I got a harmonica that makes very nice sounds.  My dad will be looking on the internet to find harmonica songs.  So far I am trying to work on Jingle Bells.  I got the hang of Jingle Bells, but I don't know the rest of the song.  I can't wait to start playing the harmonica songs.

Today I lost my harmonica and now we have to find it.  We left it at our friends house, the Pence's.  Also today they had a big problem with their dog Lilly.  My brother Gabe opened the door and she started to run, and soon my friend Bailey started to run after her, and we had to run to because we didn't know if she would be safe.  We soon found Lilly, and that is the end of my day.

Elisha

I have to laugh because the boys, Isaiah especially, are always coming up with things we can win.  Today it was a trip to Hawaii off a bubble gum container.  The problem with these "free" things that we will "win" are numerous.  The problem I could see with today's trip was that it was for a family.  Whose family?  Certainly not ours.  7 airplane tickets and a room and accommodations for 8 people?  I think not.  Even the "normal" 4 person family wouldn't be free but how do I explain this to my kids who are just excited beyond belief at the prospect of winning something so spectacular they could only dream of it?

I did, however, win.  I was blessed with a super nice new (to us) couch from Value Village for only $30.00 :).  It matches our recliners and it simply beautiful.  The ends of the couch recline and there is a secret table in the middle for holding drinks and other things but we won't be letting the kids in on this secret.

Jubilee is starting to fuss because she's hungry and only I can help that one.  I guess I'll have to write more later.

Wow, I didn't actually have my warning email setup and I didn't notice anyone actually posting comments here.  That rocks!

I have now turned on email alerts when people add comments.  I am sorry to Bill and Erik for not sending back emails or commenting on their comments.

Okay on another note, everthing is going great here at the Silva House.  Jubilee is doing great and you can see pictures of the home birth here. (don't worry, nothing revealing or gorey, I promise)

Talk to you all later, and I will do better at keeping in touch with those who make comments.  Also I will try to stay in better touch with my friends in general.

Jubilee

I can't believe it's been two weeks since Jubilee was born.  It seems like we have had her forever but it also seems like it's impossible for two weeks to have gone by already.  I hate to think of the fact that this precious time will go so fast.  Two weeks now, then a month, two months, six months, a year...Isaiah is 11 already and then he will graduate.  You mothers know how it goes.

Jubilee is such a wonderful baby.  She does everything just perfectly.  She sleeps wonderfully, though she does stilll wake at night as every newborn does.  She is eating on a pretty good schedule, about every three hours through the day and then at somewhere near 3 p.m. she goes on a milk binge and can't seem to get enough 'till about 7 when the need for sleep sets in.  She will sleep 'til 9 or 10 and then get up to eat again.  During the night she seems to sleep about 4 hour stretches which gives me enough sleep.

I laugh at the remarks people make about babies.  Nearly everyone comments on her hair, "Did all your children have this much hair?"  Um...no, actually Hosanna had about 3 or 4 times this much.  I am glad we are back to having dark haired babies because people were making assumptions about Beth and Hosanna with their red hair.

Beth is having a difficult time adjusting to the baby.  She really loves Jubilee but the rest of the day is trying with her.  She wants to push every button I have, yesterday that included biting me twice.  I love her but I can't wait for this phase to pass.

I guess that's it for tonight, I would like to get in bed and maybe have time to read a bit before I pass out but I doubt that will be the way it really goes.

Feel free to drop a comment by if you would like - I wonder who is out there reading.

Blessings!
