Today was a pretty good day.

At first I thought it was going to be bad, because I woke up at 5:45am and was going to be running later than I wanted for work.  I awoke to Jessie asking if I was ever going to wake up.  Then as I was opening my eyes she said, "It's already past 5."  At hearing that I sat up pretty quickly, but then she told me that it had snowed and all the schools were closed.  I checked my alarm and it was 5:45.  After having a look outside I decided that driving to work in rush hour traffic in the snow wasn't a good thing, so I opted to work from home.  The good thing about that is I don't have to commute and I could lay back down.

Work started for me shortly after 7am, but before I knew it the family had decided they wanted to go sledding.  I ended up driving the van because I didn't want Jessie to have to drive in the snow.  While the kids were sledding I read a "Community Server" book I was supposed to read for work.  This was good for me because I could be there and still be working.

Anyway the kids had a great time and I got to read without interruptions.  After sledding we came back home and I finished up my work on my computer while the kids did school.  Here is a picture below that Jessie's friend took.

With Momma's and Gabes birthdays coming up soon; Jessie's tomorrow, January 27th and Gabes on the 29th, we decided to go out to celebrate.  We went out bowling.  When we first started planning this trip, my mind was thinking of the old days of bowling.  I was thinking we could get in a few games, have some snacks and it would be a stress reliever.

I was a bit off though.  We had fun, but it wasn't much of a stress reliever.  First of all we had to get shoes for everyone except for Momma and I.  We have our own from way back when we had time to bowl together.  It was a good thing Jessie was there otherwise I would have NO idea what sizes were needed.

The next thing was getting all the bowling balls needed.  This wasn't hard because the kids were in charge of finding balls for themselves.  Well the big kids at least.  This took a little more time then I thought.  The children all wanting to get the best ball spent much time deciding.  You know it is less about weight and usability and more about getting the cool, or pretty ball in Elisha's case.

I think at this point we started to bowl.  Wait, Momma had to input all the names.  She did great and that didn't take too long.  Okay now we are bowling.  Did you know it takes a LONG time to get through 6 bowlers, especially when one of them is Hosanna.  The first ball she and Momma rolled down the lane got stuck half way down.  I had to find someone to retrieve it for us.  After that we helped Hosanna a little more by providing a hefty push, and by the end I was helping her roll the balls down my arms to gain a little momentum.

Okay, now about an hour into the game, and 5 frames we decide Elizabeth would do better with food.  I rushed to the resturaunt at the front of the alley and bought a "Pound O' Fries" and two drinks.  This helped Beth, but slowed our bowling process a bit.  The fries were great, and we were having fun.  The only downside to fries was the greasy hands, but we aren't pro bowlers so it didn't matter too much.

As the game got closer to ending we then had another issue.   Hosanna was getting tired of bowling and was getting distracted by the arcade games behind us.  The children were great and helped us keep an eye on the two youngest girls as they sat in a race care chair watching the video for a racing game.  Elisha and Momma ended up bowling for Hosanna torward the end of the game.  This turned out to be okay and sort of made up for the time we were using just keeping an eye on the girls.

Finally the game was completed.  Not 3 games, not 2, just 1 game a piece for each of us.  I guess I shouldn't complain too much.  At least it ended up being cheaper than paying for two right.

All in all we had a very fun outing and the kids had a blast.  Even though it wasn't stress free, we still had fun.  Praise God for allowing us to have time with our children who are a gift.

I am starting to have a little time to fix some of the mistakes I made on the site.  I think I fixed a bunch, but there is still a little ways to go.  It isn't perfect.  I want to create a couple very nice containers to hold the modules now.  I have some div based containers, but they don't seem to work very well all the time.  I might make a few table based module containers with div inards.  I guess I will just have to wait and see what is the best.

I hope you keep coming back.  I will be purchasing a picture module when we get income tax back.  It will allow me to start the photo gallery again.  I know several of you have asked about pictures.  Hopefully this will make you all smile when it gets done.  For now enjoy the kids blogs.  I am going to try and encourage them to post once a week at least.

They are all linked to RSS, so it is easy to keep up to date.

Thanks all for listening,

I just wanted you all to be aware that I do know that I am breaking, or causing the Dad page to look bad.  I am using it as my test page for the containers I am making.  Yes the blue bordered containers.  I should really be messing on a page no one can see.  I might try that some day, but for now please bear with me.  (is that the right bear or is it bare.  Not sure if you know comment below.)

Thanks,

MykkMoose (Dad)(Mike)

This is my page.

My favorite animal is the horse.  I like horses a lot.  My dad let me have a page on SilvaMoose, and I like it very much.  I hope you guys like it too.

Elisha

This Christmas when we went to church this man decided to give us a tree for free.  His name was Mr. Moore.  Mr. Moore is very nice and we like the tree alot.  There is a picture of the tree on the home page and I am standing in front of it.

Gabe

I don't have much to say here, but I wanted to at least have one blog entry.

Elisha is watching me type and she just smiled because she saw her name ... now she is giggling.

I probably should go to bed now.  I have been working tonight on making the web site better looking.  Jessie wanted a banner for her blog page, so I had to rethink my design.  I hadn't made it very easy to change the banner.  I reorganized the layered PhotoShop document I created and sliced it up so that I could easily update the banner and save the image to files I could add to the "Skin" I created for this site.

I am not sure all that makes sense to anyone, but in short, I made the site prettier and easier to change banners.  That should make sense.

In the SilvaMoose home news, Elizabeth is sick.  She threw up in the van this afternoon, and again after dinner.  It doesn't seem to effect her, but we just don't like to see her sick.  If you could all say a prayer for her, that would be great.  Other than that, I think we are all healthy.  Isaiah was saying that his stomach was upset a little, but we weren't sure whether or not it was because he was in the same room when Elizabeth threw up.  I guess we will see in the morning.

That is about it.  I am going to eat the rest of my ice-cream, and then go to bed.

Good Night all,

MykkMoose (Dad)(Mike)
