I have to laugh because the boys, Isaiah especially, are always coming up with things we can win.  Today it was a trip to Hawaii off a bubble gum container.  The problem with these "free" things that we will "win" are numerous.  The problem I could see with today's trip was that it was for a family.  Whose family?  Certainly not ours.  7 airplane tickets and a room and accommodations for 8 people?  I think not.  Even the "normal" 4 person family wouldn't be free but how do I explain this to my kids who are just excited beyond belief at the prospect of winning something so spectacular they could only dream of it?

I did, however, win.  I was blessed with a super nice new (to us) couch from Value Village for only $30.00 :).  It matches our recliners and it simply beautiful.  The ends of the couch recline and there is a secret table in the middle for holding drinks and other things but we won't be letting the kids in on this secret.

Jubilee is starting to fuss because she's hungry and only I can help that one.  I guess I'll have to write more later.

Jubilee

I can't believe it's been two weeks since Jubilee was born.  It seems like we have had her forever but it also seems like it's impossible for two weeks to have gone by already.  I hate to think of the fact that this precious time will go so fast.  Two weeks now, then a month, two months, six months, a year...Isaiah is 11 already and then he will graduate.  You mothers know how it goes.

Jubilee is such a wonderful baby.  She does everything just perfectly.  She sleeps wonderfully, though she does stilll wake at night as every newborn does.  She is eating on a pretty good schedule, about every three hours through the day and then at somewhere near 3 p.m. she goes on a milk binge and can't seem to get enough 'till about 7 when the need for sleep sets in.  She will sleep 'til 9 or 10 and then get up to eat again.  During the night she seems to sleep about 4 hour stretches which gives me enough sleep.

I laugh at the remarks people make about babies.  Nearly everyone comments on her hair, "Did all your children have this much hair?"  Um...no, actually Hosanna had about 3 or 4 times this much.  I am glad we are back to having dark haired babies because people were making assumptions about Beth and Hosanna with their red hair.

Beth is having a difficult time adjusting to the baby.  She really loves Jubilee but the rest of the day is trying with her.  She wants to push every button I have, yesterday that included biting me twice.  I love her but I can't wait for this phase to pass.

I guess that's it for tonight, I would like to get in bed and maybe have time to read a bit before I pass out but I doubt that will be the way it really goes.

Feel free to drop a comment by if you would like - I wonder who is out there reading.

Blessings!
