The other day I was walking into the living room and I saw my daughters playing. It was Elizabeth and Hosanna, who we have dubbed the "Mei Mei's" which means little sister in Chinese. We are not sure whether that is Cantonese or Mandarin, but we are sure of the meaning.
It was fun watching them play when they didn't know they were being watched. If you listen carefully you will hear them both say some funny things, and you will see toward the end of the video that one of the figures out she is being recorded. I know I have been doing a whole lot of videos on the blog lately, but I have been enjoying recording them and posting them. I hope you all enjoy them too.

Re: The Mei Mei's Playhouse
well depending on tone and context it could also mean "beautiful beautiful" or even "hey there, hot stuff". to emphasize the little sister part you can add a little to the front " xiao, so "xiao mei mei"

Well let's hope there won't be any "hot stuff" translations until they get married... and then I still don't think I want to hear it. LOL
