Today we dedicated Jubilee to the Lord at our church.  We dedicate ourselves to the Lord and pray that He will guide us throughout the years we are in charge of raising little Jubilee.  We pray that the Lord will use Jubilee however He sees fit and that she would live to serve Him.

The Lord has blessed us so richly with wonderful children, and we are promising the Lord in return that we will raise our children to know God, the truth of His salvation, love, and righteousness.

You can see a few pictures of the dedication today at North Creek Baptist Church.  Praise God for the gifts He gives us!

The Silva's went to church camp last week and had a blast.  We left Monday morning on July 7th, and drove 250 some miles to Peniel Ranch.  The trip was like all trips, with a few stops to eat and use the restroom.  The kids were very excited and as always they started asking, "How far?" no more than an hour into the journey.  We also had a fun time when Grandpa Taylor got us lost and we ended up going up a dirt road for a couple miles.  We all gave Grandpa Taylor a bad time, but we did get to see a bear on the side of the dirt road.  WOOHOO for Grandpa and his GPS!

Camp was great.  For 150 dollars we were fed three meals a day and had a dry place to stay.  We got blessed with a personal room with our own shower and bathroom.   The pastor gave it to us because we had a young baby.  There were two other rooms that were given to other families with young babies.

We had all sorts of fun things to do at camp and you can see the pictures here.  We all enjoyed archery, axe throwing, fishing, games, swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, fishing, volley ball, fishing, church services, Bible answer time, fishing, fellowship with our church family and fishing.  (Did I mention that already?)

All in all we had an awesome time and it was so nice to relax.  Work has been hectic so it was nice to get away from technology and work.  I did miss my CRISTA IT family though and was glad to be back to work on Monday.  I sure wish we could pack up the IT team and all go to camp.

Oh well I think that is all.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Well Praise God!

The kids have been worried because Pockets has been missing for about a week and a half.  Mom and were beginning to think she was, umm, well dead.  We told the kids to not expect the cat to come back.  As always though we did encourage the kids to prayer for her return and safety, but we were pretty sure she was NOT coming back.

This has happened to us several times.  Once when we lived in Port Orchard, she was gone for a week, and we found out from our neighbor that she had been on the top of our van when we left the house, so after a day of searching we figured she had fallen off and had died.

The second time was in New Jersey when we lost her for 4 months while I was in Iraq and the family was living with the Pastor and his wife.  She came back the day before we moved from New Jersey to WA.

Now this is the third time.  We still are not sure where she was.  All of a sudden today she popped up out of nowhere.  I think she was trapped somewhere in the house, because Isaiah was the only one who went outside today and he didn't remember letting her in.  We are confused but praising God for a safe return of Pockets.  She is VERY skinny, but alive.

Well that is it.  I just wanted to tell everyone.  Praise God!

Yup it has been a while since I posted here.  Well today is a good day to post since I am home sick.  You know I really hate being sick.  I woke up last night about 3am just coughing up a storm.  I coughed so hard I strained a muscle in my chest.  Pretty sad huh?

Oh well, it will be nice to sleep as much as I can today.  I don't get to do that very often.  Jessie and the family have left to go to band and the only one home with me is Elisha, and she is doing school, so this is the PERFECT time to sleep.  You ask then, why am I sitting here typing this post?  Well I was feeling guilty about not posting for so long.

Okay now the part most people care about, an update on how the moose are doing.  (in particular Jubilee).  Jubilee is doing very good.  She was having a problem pooping  with constipation for a few days, but that is cleared up now.   I won't tell you how it cleared up except for it involved some work from Mom and Dad.  For those worried it was safe and doctor approved, but messy.

Now on to the other moose.  Jessie is still pretty, so is Elisha.  The boys are handsome and only get into a little bit of trouble.  Hosanna is still cuddly, and Elizabeth is a ball of ENERGY.   We have installed child locks on almost all the low level cabinents because of her curiousity, and energy.  To be honest Elizabeth scares me.  I am praying she won't be the first to break a bone, especially not mine.  When ever I am praying for the family, the first thing I pray for when I get to Beth is safety.  I am glad the angels are heavenly beings, because if they weren't there would be several very tired angels watching over Elizabeth.

I think I have rambled enough.  I will ask though for those who may read this if you could say a quick prayer for me.  Being sick stinks.  Thanks a bunch and have a great rest of the week!

First I have to apologize for not posting in a long time.  Things have been busy since Jubilee's birth.  I am also working on some projects for extra money.  I will also be working on a site redesign.  No worries, I am not changing any functionality, just looks.  The blogs will be the same as far as content and all the other pages will function the same.  I am just going to make the site "pretty".

Anywho, I will try VERY hard to post more pictures of Jubilee this week and maybe even do Marches Moose~Album page.  Hang in there and please be patient with us.  I am sorry not be posting more often, I will try to post at least twice a week.

So far life is going pretty great.  Jubilee is doing AWESOME.  Momma is doing great, and the kids are all alive.  Also Elisha made a new post today on her blog.  You can check it out here.

Well I will post again, sooner than later.

As you can tell from the title, Jubilee Dawn was born!  She arrived last night at 9:02 PM.  Below are all the measurments.

Born: March 20th, 2008 at 9:02pm
Weight: 7 pounds 5 ounces
Length: 19 inches
Head Size: 14 inches
Appearence: Cute as can be!

I want to start out by saying I am so proud of Momma.  She, as always, did a great job.  The Lord has blessed her with good deliveries and this was yet another one.  She didn't scream, yell, or get upset at all.  I almost felt bad that she didn't get any good licks in on me, but that is how it usually is.  Also Elisha did a great job.  She was there for the birth.  This makes baby number two for her.  She helped out a lot.  She got chap stick, and water for Momma, and was in charge of keeping the music going.  She sure is an awesome young lady.

Nancy Spencer was our mid-wife again for Jubilee.  She was there for Hosanna, and Elizabeth's births too.  She does an awesome job.  She has been a mid-wife for almost 40 years.  2010 will be 40.  As always she was calm and helped make the delivery easy going.

I got to do the Daddy things, like catch the baby, cut the cord and dress her in her first outfit.  It didn't take long before Jubilee was filling my heart with Joy.  She is so light, and I could hold her forever.  Praise God for such wonderfully LARGE gifts that come in small packages.

Praise God, for He is wonderful, mighty, loving, caring and more than words can describe!  Thank you Lord for all your blessings.

Well here we go again.  Jessie is in Labor.  We are waiting for the mid-wife and eating graham crackers.  Well Elisha and I are.  I just took a picture of Momma's belly, which is a family tradition. (no, you won't be able to see that photo)

I don't have much else to say, but to stay tuned.  When I get pictures I will post here immediately.  Thanks for stopping by, and please pray that all will go well.

More pictures were added today for the month of May in 2005, the year we were living in New Jersey.  It is very neat to see pictures of Hosanna.  She looks so much like Elizabeth in many of the pictures.

The kids also enjoyed seeing the pictures.  They were laughing and giggling at them.  The kids have very fond memories of the good times they had with our church family in Robertsville Bible Church.

Speaking of kids, Jessie is due to have our 6th baby in April, but it is looking like it may be the latter part of March.  We are excited about the new arrival, but are feeling quite overwhelmed with all that needs to be done for preparation.  I know we have been through this a few times, but I think it is worse with each additional baby you have.  It seems like we don't have any time to get things ready, and when we think we will have the time, the time we have goes by too quickly.

So keep stopping by our website for more baby updates.  Hopefully we will be posting in March about the new baby.

Well I guess that is it.  I hope and pray you are all having a fine day as you read this post.  Talk to you again soon.

I put new pictures up.  I wanted to add some pictures of when we were in New Jersey.  That was a very trying point in our life, but we had great support.  The members of Robertsville Bible Church were wonderful.  We will never forget our church family in New Jersey.

The pictures I posted are from August 2005.  I will go through the pictures and find more for the other 5 months we were in New Jersey.  Stay tuned and there should be more to come.

For an update, we have new pictures up for December 2007, April 2007, May 2007, and January 2008.  Please feel free to have a look.  I still need to update them a little and add captions to them all.  The December 2007 pictures all have captions.

Also you may also notice I placed a link to my "Friends of SUA" page on the bottom right side of the home page.  Please stop by and check out SUA.  I am trying to raise 1000 dollars this year for them.  SUA is a great school and the staff do a wonderful job of reaching at risk youth in the inner city.  They help the kids get out of gangs and graduate high school.

I am pretty sure I will raise less than 100 dollars, but I felt like making the goal higher than what I thought I could raise, just for the challenge.  Also SUA struggles, so anything helps, even my small amount.

Well I didn't right this post to market funds.  I really just wanted to say "Hey check out the new pictures"  Oh and I hope Dan can see these pictures this time.

Because of Christ and his wonderful grace,

MykkMoose (Dad)(Mike)
